I suppose a chicken run is part shed, part fence. The hens enjoyed helping the build by scratching around the new post holes.
Our customer today had unexpectedly found himself using a wheelchair. Unfortunately he was virtually trapped indoors because of the huge step down from his front door. He came up with a solution and asked us to fit an extra-wide gate in the fence in his back garden, which gave him access to the path along the side of his house. We cut into a flower border and made a new sloping concrete approach from the patio to the new gate. We were happy to prioritise this job to help him get his freedom back.
This was a small job to repair a rotten fence brought down by a smothering of ivy. The client removed the ivy himself and wanted to re-use the existing gate. We’re always pleased to recycle and reuse.
We’ve been travelling around a lot recently. The last job was making a palace for guinea pigs in Kent. This one is a slate-roofed barn in a garden in Buckinghamshire. Designed in consultation with the client and built from scratch. As usual assisted by Milo. Wood was sourced from our experts at http://www.linnellbros.co.uk in Silverstone.
