Woodshed in progress

You may think this woodshed looks unfinished and you’d be right.   Some customers will want to finish the work themselves to save costs or for the creative pleasure of their own project.  In this case, we delivered the materials and set up the uprights and the roofing.  We will always respect customer’s wishes.

Recycle your kitchen part 3

So here is the final version.  We didn’t buy any new cupboard carcasses or frontals.  Mervyn designed the whole thing himself re-siting the original cupboards to producing an uncluttered room with efficient use of the space.  The original water supply pipes were very complicated:  he moved the incoming supply which allowed him to relocate the sink, washing machine and dish washer to a different side of the room.  This then left space to construct a breakfast bar and shelving with oak from www.linnellbros.co.uk in Silverstone. David Green in Syresham re-wired the room for us.  We sourced a new sink and worktops (pitch pine)  from Towcester builders’ merchant www.tbsdirect.co.uk

Recycle your kitchen

This is our own kitchen in serious need of replacement.  The layout was illogical, colour scheme dreary, finish poor, plumbing awkward and wiring (we later discovered) dangerous.

Clocks all Ticking

Clocks all working fine now – new hands, new varnish – and ready to be delivered.  Tested them by hanging them on my workshop wall.

Hobbit House in The Shires

Not a hobbit’s house but it is in Northampton-Shire.  I designed and built this  pool house from scratch for a client: inside is the swimming pool electrics and equipment.

Summer is here: patio time

The garden was originally a flat rough lawn.  Three weeks later there is a patio facing the sun and newly sown lawn edged with herbaceous cottage garden plants.
